Patricia Blackburn offers guided meditation sessions. Meditation helps to counteract the effects of stress, restore the body to a calm state, help the body to repair itself, and prevent new health problems due to the physical effects of stress. When practicing meditation, your heart rate and breathing slow down, your blood pressure normalizes, and you use oxygen more efficiently. Also, your mind ages at a slower rate, and your immune function improves. Through meditation, your mind also clears and your creativity increases. Patricia Blackburn draws from many different meditation traditions: Buddhist, Hindu, Taoist, Christian, Jewish and the 12 step approach.
